You can make your turkey burgers earlier and just store them raw for cooking later. Total cooking time indicated already includes chilling time.

What to Prepare:

1 ½ tbsp chopped fresh lemon grass

2 cloves of garlic

1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger

1/3 cup coarsely chopped green onion

½ cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

½ tspn red chili pepper flakes

1 lime

2 tbsp water

1 lb ground lean turkey

1 egg white

1.     Combine well the lemongrass, garlic, ginger, green onions, cilantro, chili flakes and a zest of the lime using a food processor or chopper or you can just finely chop these ingredients and mix them in a bowl.

2.     Add the turkey and egg white into the mixture and mix well until fully combined.

3.     Allow the mixture to attain a bit of firmness by chilling it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

4.     After chilling, shape this into the desired sizes of burger patties. Ideally, this could make 4 equal sized patties.

5.     Cook the patties in a frying pan as normally done or you could brush the patties with a little virgin coconut oil and grill them in a Foreman type grill. Cooking time for the patties is about 8 minutes.

6.     You can now serve you patties with your buns or as desired.
